DAY TWO – THURSDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER

PRAYERS TO FIND AND BE LIGHT

Matthew 5:14-16 (NET) – “14 You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honour to your Father in heaven.”

1. God would never leave us without empowering us with what we need for victory. So, let’s thank God for giving us Faith (no matter how small we may think it is)Thank God for being our light in this world and thank Him for He has made us the light of the world.

Isaiah 9:2 – “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.”

2. Thank Him that because we are in Jesus, we are empowered to shine in a world full of darkness.

Isaiah 60:1-3 – “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”

3. Declare that according to the prophetic declaration, we arise and shine for our light has come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon us. Decree that God’s glory will be evident on us.

Proverbs 4:18 – “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”

4. Pray and ask for grace to rise and shine as light in the various spheres of influence God has planted us into the glory of the Lord. Decree that our good works will no longer be hidden but they will become visible for all to see.

John 8:12 – “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.”

5. Ask for grace to distinguish ourselves in all we do and the spaces we occupy because the glory of the Lord is upon us.

Philippians 2:15 – “that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.”

6. Declare that because we have the light of life in us, the darkness that is in the world will never overcome our light, instead because we are the just, we shine brighter and brighter unto a perfect day.

Thank God for answered prayer and enabling you to fulfil divine purpose.
