THANKSGIVING FOR GREAT LIGHT AND FOR GRACE TO WALK IN THAT LIGHT

John 8:12 – “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

1. Thank God for giving us His Son Jesus Christ who is the light of this world and for the assurance that we will never have to walk in darkness anymore.

John 1:5 – “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

2. Thank God for the access to His divine light, the light that no form of darkness can contend with. Let us thank Him for the Zoe life we have access to because of this light.

Psalm 27:1 – “The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall, I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?”

3. Thank God for being our very light and that because He is our light and fear resides in darkness, Fear has no say over our lives.

Psalm 119:130 – “The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple”.

4. Let us ask God for Grace to delight in the study of His Word, so that His Word can enter our hearts and provide the required light for us and our world.

Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow.”

5. Let us God for grace that would enable us to expose anything in our lives that is contrary to the Word of God so the Word of God can cut it off and rid it out of our lives.

James 1:21b – “and receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls”.

6. Let us ask God for the humility to stay with the Word of God, to always side with the Word of God so that our souls can be transformed.

John 16:24b – “Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete”.
